We were vacationing at Hilton Head when our car broke down on our last day. We called two other car rentals before Thrifty and they couldn't help us. Susan with Thrifty went above and beyond to help us get home! She answered our call, after hours, and provided us with a minivan with plenty of room. The van had just been returned the night before and hadn't been checked in yet to be ready for released for rental, but knowing how desperate we were, she went out herself and cleaned and washed it so we could have it as a rental.
Crap absolutely crap you have to call a national number to get ahold of anybody then be transferred 4 times to get to somebody you need to talk to they don't accept cash they don't accept apparently any money from anybody unless you give them plastic money then they lie and say they are only 14 miles away from you when in actuality they're over 40 pitiful

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in my life... not only did I have to wait 5 minutes at the desk until I noticed the agent just sitting in the office talking on her cell phone and I had to yell to get her attention... they called me afterwards saying I had a pet in the car and they charged my cares $250. I do not even own a pet and found trash in the so clearly it was not cleaned properly and when I told them about the trash I found they told me that they cleaned the car themselves that it was not possible calling me a liar. They then told me they couldn't give me the managers information and said they'd give him mine and she couldn't promise they'd even call back today.. still waiting to hear if they are going to rob me of my money for their crap cleaning job. Will never ever use Truffaut again. They even sent me pictures of the pet fur and it is so minimal I can't even tell how they can justify charging anyone $250 for something that takes under a minute to clean and would have been clean if they did this in the first place. Shame on their staff and their manager, they even spot to him on the phone while I was on hold and couldn't resolve it after making me wait for them to come back and hung up on me cause they forgot someone was on the phone...
