Picking up and turning in my rental vehicle vehicle was quick and easy.
In addition, the staff were helpful. I left behind an important personal item when I turned in my vehicle. The helpful staff retrieved the item and mailed it directly to my home address.

Budget gave me a great deal on a quality car for a one-way rental. One-way rentals can be expensive, but not through Budget. Their straightforward price quote beats even the other car rental companies discounted offers.
I am always greeted with courtesy and smiles. One manager, Miss Sheria is a delight. She is attentive, concerned, warm and caring. I would recommend the Hilton Head Budget Car Rental to anyone.
Today is Christmas and I just flew across country to visit my mother for a night and then drive the family to Miami tomorrow. I arrived at the Hilton Head Airport to pick up my rental car. I walked up to the Budget Rental Counter and found a cobweb ridden desk (see picture) and an empty desk because the employee decided to leave early for the day. I called customer service and asked what I should do. Customer service recommended that I take an Uber to Miami instead. I cannot begin to explain how frustrated and disappointed I am. I gave Budget a shot and not only did they ruin my trip but they skewed my Christmas plans. I would not recommend to anyone. 0 Star for me.
Do NOT rent a car from Budget unless you want to spend your vacation on to their customer service department. A hold of over $5000 was put on my card instead of $149 resulting in my bank putting a security block on my card and denying me access to funds. It took me several phone calls to try to resolve it and there was no attempt at service recovery. An 'input error' was the dismissive explanation given and the stress it caused was huge. I will never have anything to do with Budget again. Deplorable customer service ☹️
