D. I did not return the car damage and I would like to know exactly what type of damage was done to the air conditioning? I would like to have photos of the damage. Since I was never notified or received any documentation about the alleged damage to the air conditioning, I am request the following documentation:

I would leave ZERO STARS if possible due to the subpar service. I strongly recommend go to another company that values their customers and give customer service. You, the reviewer of this post, when you read the details, photos, and questions that I provided below, it will be clear that there is an issue with the Avis location. Why cant I give zero stars?

A. I did not put 399 miles on the car. Obvious somebody did not check-in and record the information correctly. I returned the car full and the fuel was purchased at the closest gas which was 0.9 miles from the airport. LESS THEN 1 MILE!

* Itemized receipt reflecting the part number and price of the repair part.

My flight is going to be late and they don't seem to answer the phone. Will someone be at the counter, or do I have to make other arrangements? No way to know.

4. I tried their reservation / resolution phone number, after 3 phone calls, several emails and hours later, I finally found out why I was charged the additional $85 dollars.

C. The approximately 85 driven miles required about 2.5 gallons of fuel to replenished the fuel tanks back to full. Even when trying to force more gas into the fuel tank, I was not able to get more than approximately 2.8 gallons in the fuel.

We would like to confirm that we reviewed the prepaid reservation # and notice it was cancelled with a full refund submitted. We were not able to find a charge of $200.00. If this is not the correct reservation then we recommend to please provide the rental agreement for the rental.

As of August 23, 2017, I still cannot get a hold of a person at the local branch even though I have called multiple times over several days.

I am an aircraft owner and pilot that also flies into KHHH (Hilton Head) . After I found his review on our aviation communities website, I am disappointed with Avis as well. The amazing part is that you have Mr. McFadden phone number and email address and you are asking him to contact you to resolve YOUR ISSUE of LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. Obviously, you should contact him and follow-up for resolution and customer service improvement, etc. Anyway, based on my own personal experience with Avis, the company has not been up to par either. For whatever reason, some of Avis local branches are refusing to pickup the phone. NOTE --- Avis if you are reading and listening, many of the pilots are reacting to Mr. McFadden's postings and have suggested a solution to this Avis issue when applicable. The pilot communities are in the process switching over to National / Enterprise since they have an aviator / pilot support line, familiar with FBO practices, and can talk to a human without hurdles. Realize our pilot community websites consists of at least 100,000 members and we are a close-knit operation. I am afraid to say that you have awaken a sleeping giant by how you handle the scenario ,he is a strong voice and advocate in our aviation communities.

* The Avis agent from the reservation center told me that I returned the car without gas and put 399 miles on the car. In addition, I damaged the air conditioner unit.

3. Eight days later, the original quoted and paid reservation was canceled by Avis and then I was charged $85 dollars in addition, to the original reservation amount and recharged on my credit card.

Be assured that the refueling charge for your rental has been adjusted, and we have credited the amount of $31.70 to your Visa card. By the way, to our knowledge the charge for $50.00 was not charge for damage. Most likely a $50.00 charge was done for filling up the fluid for the AC and we went ahead and removed this charge.

As a professional pilot and business owner, THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE due to the following:

2. On June 16, 2017, I rented a car from this Avis location and returned it June 19, 2017, with a full tank of gas. I refilled the car within 2 miles from the airport. The photo taken has the GPS location being at HHH airport and shows the fuel gauge reflecting that the gas tank is full, not counting, I could not get any more gas into the tank upon refilling.

NOTE: 65 out of the 85 miles driven where highway miles and the car a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu and the MPG is 27 / 36 miles.
