Nice place to walk around with the family. Beautiful landscapes and very well maintained.
Kids may have been a little young to really enjoy and educate themselves here. It did allow space for them to run in the open areas outdoors. Then cool down inside and by a beverage before leaving. Us adults however enjoyed reading all the information.
We stopped by on our exploration of Hilton Head. It’s free and worth checking out. Relocating to the Honey Horn plantation in 2007, the property is beautiful. Housing three boardwalks, a butterfly enclosure, and a brief history of the location, we also got the pleasure of enjoying an art exhibit the museum was hosting.
This is a beautiful natural museum! I was especially impressed with how the docent engaged our 5-year old with a scavenger hunt activity. Our son was very motivated to complete it, so he paid attention to all the exhibits. It was a great day of learning for all of us!
Pleasant place to learn about the history of Hilton Head Island and to simultaneously explore nature. I would recommend visiting here. Watching basket making by professionals using local materials proved fascinating.
