3. I asked for butter on my sandwich. They gave me butter packets that I had to spread myself. This was a to-go order, so I had to sit there at the counter and complete the sandwich before I could eat it. I just ate there.
ALWAYS above and beyond, look for Diana as ur server, ALWAYS 1st class service
5. Sounds from the TV and the music system were basically fighting it out, so nothing sounded good, and both were too low.
My advice would be to avoid.
6. Almost every worker in there had an unenthusiastic look, as if they'd much rather be somewhere else. Horrible impression.
Speaking of coffee, I do not usually pass up coffee with breakfast. However, I'm pretty sure the coffee I saw them making was the same kind of grind I was apathetically used to in my office. The rest of the stuff was your standard fare. Nothing specially, really. I heard the muffins were something I had to try... so I tried to order one. I was sent up to the front to find one I wanted, but they were all out. The poor person who makes them was also in the hospital and wasn't there to make any more.
I'll be back
If they make handbooks for how to open a restaurant that looks like a locals-only breakfast-brunch cafe, this place would be in the examples. If you're going to try this place out, get there some time before 8AM and get in on their early bird special. ~$4 in most cases and $.99 coffee.
Fast service and Great food
2. The sandwich was thrown together. Three strips of bacon all in one stack, just thrown in there lazily.
1. Menu says egg sandwich on a kaiser roll. It came on a Sysco hamburger bun. When I asked the waitress about it, she said, "...yeah. I don't know why the menu says that." She did offer to bring me some other type of bread. Not sure how that would have worked.
Delicious and great choice for local food. Really good experience.
4. They ran out of coffee on my cup. 9:30am. She asked me to wait for a new pot. I said that I would take what was there and wait for the rest. Again, this was a to-go order.
I almost never write reviews, but this experience was such that I felt compelled.
So many reasons...
The atmosphere was really nice, the owner is very friendly and the staff was Amazing
If Christmas only came around once every 5 years, this place would feel as slow as Christmas. Oh well -- island time right? :) Shut up and be happy.
