Terrific place! Food plentiful and DELICIOUS! Chef Brad Blake is to be commended! Our waiter, Jamie, was very attentive and professional while being very friendly too. Since I have severe food allergies, he made sure my order and meal were correct, which I truly appreciate!!!
another great experience at skull creek! we got there at 5:15 on 12/29 and there was already a 45min wait. We stalked an outdoor table by a heater and waited two minutes. Over he summer we beat the traffic by getting there at around 4:30pm. It’s either get there early or wait any time past 5pm. Food was great once again. I got the Napa salad and my wife ordered the coconut shrimp (her favorite). Waiter was attentive even for outdoor seating. Would definitely recommended for casual dining and great food.
More of a bar atmosphere. Fried scored flounder is excellent. Broiled platter was good but the shrimp were on the small side and I didn't care for the filling in the stuffed fish. The red rice was a no. Service and staff were great.
Skull Creek Boathouse is a fun restaurant located in Hilton Head South Carolina. It is located on a creek where boats are kept. The place is always busy and doesn't take reservations. Sunday Brunch is very good. Fresh made omelettes, fruit, wonderful French toast and other breakfast items are served. Otherwise, there are burgers, fish steak and chicken. The outside area is always packed.
My birthday...just myself and spouse. Absolutely HEAVENLY weather and the experience could NOT BE ANY BETTER! Our server was Ashley C. Every thing was utterly perfect, she stopped back enough times so we never felt neglected, AND not so often that could be intrusive. Did special things to enhance our experience...Ashley may be new, but she is quite definitely a superbly talented server! The food, oh, the food!! Fish sandwich appeared to have been so fresh it was caught this morning. Seafood Chowder par excellence! Even the salsa, guacamole and chips are the best in town. And the bartender made my Bloody Mary's precisely to order...always perfect here!! Have been coming to Skull Creek Boathouse for 25 years...has ALWAYS been great, but better than EVER now. Our entire large family, (who live out of town now) always eat at least one meal there every visit...sometimes more!! Thanks for hiring top-notch server!! And always a wonderful chef and staff!! PS the hostess who took us to our table was charming also.
